About Jennifer Jones
Jennifer Jones is a national award-winning teacher with research expertise in the entwined analyses of gender, race, place, class, and colonialism. This specialisation in intersectional critique has undergirded her interrogation of Aboriginal Australian, women’s and rural histories. Her work centres upon the participation of individuals and communities in religious, philanthropic, educational and government organisations and the role played by belief and commitment in shaping collaboration and engagement. Jones adopts a grounded methodological approach to oral history and archival research practice and has a demonstrated track record working closely with stakeholder groups.

Doctor of Philosophy: Thesis title: “Aboriginal Women’s Autobiographical Narratives and the Politics of Collaboration”. An interdisciplinary thesis in Australian literary history and gender studies. Undertaken in The Department of Social Inquiry (Gender Studies). Supervised by Professor Kay Schaffer.
